5 Dangerous Mental Habits That Are Holding Our Lives Back

By | Monday, July 29, 2019

When we think of “decluttering,” we almost always default to the physical items that are taking up too much space in our lives. And that makes total sense — when our living space is crowded with things we don’t actually use, need, or even want, it can be tough to feel productive or comfortable in our homes. But mental decluttering is often just as important.

Who hasn’t been affected by intrusive thoughts or default habits? In this week’s episode of The Lifestyle Fix, Tasha dives into the mental clutter you may not realize is holding you back. For instance, maybe you are still holding onto a specific idea of what your life is “supposed” to look like by a certain age. Whether that’s been influenced by society, images from the media, or even your own family members and peers, it can be dangerous to assume that you’re not living a valid lifestyle simply because you haven’t reached some arbitrary set of goalposts by 30, 40, etc. The best thing you can do is change your own default mindset: is this list of milestones you think you need to abide by actually helpful for you, or is it mentally blocking you from going after the life you actually want to live? Head over to the TFD YouTube channel to hear the rest of the mental clutter you need to start clearing.
