My Sunday Routine That Makes Every Week A Good One

By | Thursday, February 22, 2018

It is, in general, a widely-accepted opinion that Sunday is the best day of the week, and with the exception of the Monday Blues that begin to creep up during the Sunday-evening hours, we agree. Sunday is the ultimate Get Your Shit Together day, and the perfect day to both relax, unwind, and plan for the week just enough to knock out the Monday Blues before they’ve even had a chance to present themselves.

Everyone does their Sunday differently, but most of us could be using the hours of that glorious day much more effectively. Here’s the thing: with a good routine and a little bit of planning, you can craft a Sunday schedule that makes you feel relaxed, refreshed, and fully prepared to tackle the week ahead without losing your shit. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy or revolutionary; simply carving out a little time to tie up loose ends before the workweek resets will leave you feeling refreshed and motivated, rather than anxious and overwhelmed and looking back wondering why you never got around to all the stuff you promised yourself you’d do over the weekend (but pushed to the side in favor of fun stuff, as we all tend to do when we’re in Weekend Mode). Doing little things like straightening up, prepping some meals, and even taking a peek at your email before heading to bed on Sunday night will leave you feeling just a little more prepared for what’s to come during your upcoming busy workweek.

In this week’s video over on the TFD YouTube channel, Chelsea took us step-by-step through the Sunday routine she follows that makes every week better for her before it even starts. If your current Sunday routine is a mix of highly-alcoholic brunches and scratching approximately nothing off of your to-do list, and you’re looking for a little ~routine inspo~, check it out here:
