The Joy Of Homemade Christmas Cards

By | Tuesday, December 23, 2014

Homemade Christmas cards are something of a novelty, but feel incredibly special to give and to receive. They are an affordable way to elevate inexpensive gifts, and do a stellar job at letting the person know that you deeply care about them.

I’ve been making my own Christmas cards since I was little. It began out of boredom, simply because I had too much time on my hands, and an overflowing box of arts and craft materials. Since then, it’s flourished into a full-fledged hobby (you know, gotta make that design degree #werk everyday) and makes going to the craft store for paper supplies a bit of a production. As a designer that works on the computer all day long, making something with my hands feels therapeutic, and the work is worth seeing the look on people’s faces when they open it. Homemade cards can be very simple or elaborate, depending on your taste. This is the batch of cards I made for this year’ gifts, for your homemade card ~inspiration~.
