Starting a side hustle is something we talk about a lot here at TFD, and for a couple of reasons. First, when you need to save money, increasing your income is often more effective than cutting your spending — but it’s not always easy (or even possible) to increase your income at your current job. Second, if you are thinking of making a big career change, a side hustle is a great way to test the waters. You can see if this new path is actually something you could see yourself doing long term, and also build up your portfolio and client base. And, of course, sometimes side hustles are mostly for fun, and the extra money in your pocket is just a bonus.
Of course, side hustles aren’t for everyone, especially because we don’t call them “hustles” on accident. They take effort, and often a lot more than you’d realize! So for many of us, it’s really helpful to hear from people who’ve had success building a sustainable side hustle for themselves. And who better to do that than our very own Tasha! In this week’s episode of The Lifestyle Fix, Tasha tells us how she built her brand and YouTube channel up from earning just $100 over three years to having her first $20,000 month at the beginning of this year. Head over to the TFD YouTube channel to hear about how she built this online business with her partner, and her tips for starting any kind of side hustle of your own!
