8 Clutter-Creating Things You Should Never Keep In Your Kitchen

By | Tuesday, June 25, 2019

Here at TFD, we publish essays, articles, and videos from all different perspectives — including many people who practice minimalism! However, we would never claim to be a minimalist website, for a few reasons. Mainly, there’s just not going to be one lifestyle choice that works for everyone, and that’s okay. And, just as importantly, we would never advise anyone to get rid of a bunch of stuff just for the sake of owning less. We firmly believe holding onto items that bring you joy and improve your everyday life is key to living the life you want.

That being said, it is true that many of us own way. too. much. crap. And when it comes to living the happiest version of your life possible, sometimes that crap just gets in the way of everything that could be making your life better. On this week’s episode of The Lifestyle Fix, Tasha dives into the one area where getting rid of clutter makes the biggest difference: your kitchen.

If you’re reading this, there’s a solid chance you don’t have a luxurious, Nancy Meyers movie-level kitchen to work with. And that’s okay! Getting rid of clutter and making the most of the kitchen you do have makes everything simpler, from weekly meal prep to entertaining dinner party guests. For instance, if you are holding onto old food storage containers you saved from restaurant leftovers three years ago, it may be time to let it go. It’s probably ineffective for keeping food fresh, and that’s not doing anyone any favors. Head over to the TFD YouTube channel to hear Tasha’s other items you should purge from your kitchen!
