Every week, we’re participating in #totalhonestytuesday, sharing the things we’d usually keep off of social media, and giving a little more insight into our real (and very un-perfect) lives. Hopefully, in doing this, we can all feel a little less pressure to appear a certain way online, and remember that everyone around us is much more than just the highlight reel we normally see.

Tuesday vibes. Not included in this picture: the gigantic pile of clothing spilling out of my suitcase that he is laying on. I should be unpacking/repacking, but instead I'm laying on the ground taking an embarrassing number of photos of my cat. #totalhonestytuesday

Here's my #totalhonestytuesday …my desk currently. Plays, books, scissors, pencils, pens, candle, foundation, perfume…It's a bit of a mess, to say the least. It's me though, and giving a glimpse of the decidedly less glamorous parts of life is what today is all about xEG #wicked #dune #theflick #semiotics #frankenstein #princessbride #somanybooks #booksofinstagram #candle #studentlife #studentliving #pacifica #perfume #bathandbodyworks

Trying out #totalhonestytuesday and talking about my passion. No not food, the other one. Between school, work and everything in between I've barely been running lately. Also winter is cold and definitely puts a damper on my motivation. I signed up for a half marathon this summer so I could start setting training goals and I've been looking for all sorts of inspiration. When I saw online that the latest issue of Runner's World had a dog on the cover I obviously had to have it! I made a detour to the bookstore during my run and now I've got some good reading material and five miles under my belt on this rainy day. #maketimeforwhatyoulove #runnersworld #lifeofadoglover #trainingtime

I don't think I'll ever grow out of things feeling fancy to me that are normal to most people. Growing up in a small town meant that you couldn't walk to Starbucks and grab coffee. Taking an elevator to my apartment with coffees in hand this morning made me feel like a city girl. #totalhonestytuesday

This simple scene captures so much about my life: unopened laptop, work bag and keys where I dropped them last night when I walked in the door, my running watch charged and waiting to go. I am working to find balance right now .. between Getting Things Done and Chasing Dreams .. and being present and positive where I am and giving my attention to the people who mean the most. Case in point: this IG post took at least 25 minutes because Thing 3 needed breakfast no. 2 and snuggles before I started getting ready for work. #totalhonestyTuesday
